"Living Debt Free …
is this God's plan for us
?"

Living debt free may not guarantee a totally stress free life - but it represents a great start. Close your eyes and imagine daily life with: no past due bills, no credit card or other consumer loan debt, no car payments … and (stretch your mind) not even a mortgage payment. Wow! You could focus your time, talents and money on blessing your family and on serving God and others.

Financial/debt pressure is commonly cited as the #1 source of marital stress and a leading cause of divorce. This is clearly not God's plan. There were no debt collectors in the Garden of Eden!

What is debt? Noah Webster's The American Dictionary of the English Language defines debt as "that which is due from one person to another, whether money, goods or services; that which one person is bound to pay or perform to another." We find it especially interesting that Webster adds - "when you run in debt you give to another power over your liberty." These remarks coincide with Proverbs 22:7 (NIV): "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender."

God obviously wants us to make a paradigm shift, i.e. to view debt as a problem to be avoided. The popular worldly myth may sound "cute", but is ugly to the core - "the one who dies with the most toys wins."

Fortunately, His Word - the Bible - provides a wealth of encouragement and instructions for true financial freedom. We believe that a proper definition of true prosperity is: "Having all the resources - time, talent, health and yes - money to do all that God has called us to do."

In the book - Financial Freedom in 7 Weeks Plus - there is a seven-week study and practical application plan for debt free living, which paves the way to Godly financial freedom and to Godly prosperity. You learn how to assess your obligations, develop a positive monthly cash flow (extra money at the end of the month), and how to use some of the extra cash to attack and eliminate debt - starting with the costliest, highest interest debt and working through to a no-debt lifestyle.

Remember when you closed your eyes and envisioned debt free living. Well, be courageous and go for it - God's way. Then pass on a debt free legacy to your children - that's a great gift. That's why our website is: www.debtfreelegacy.com.
